One wounded man had made it out - to the tell the tale before he bled out
Like fire the word spread through the land – a whole town crushed by a demon hand
Summon the fearless – send them out to investigate
Expose the demons – that only live in old wife’s tales

Follow the crows, down the road to the east
Through fields of bloodshed, into the lair of the unnamed beast

All are soon to believe – That monsters can be very real
They leave a revolting trail – a river of blood - severed heads on spikes – Mutilated!

the sickening stench of human debris - The courage starts to quaver
Bones snap underneath their feet – step into the demons lair

They come from all around – like a wretched swarm – most men drop to the ground
Cowering - Frozen by fear – those who fight see demons pierced by many spears
Never falling down – they cannot be defeated!

Covered in the bloody grime of his companions – One man escaped the claws of death

I wouldnt call it blackened death but it certainly has the bleak dark atmosphere akin to Akhlys or Watain while pummeling you with pure death metal and a touch of dissonance and doominess á la Morbid Angel..it really combines almost everything i love about metal and theres not a weak spot on here..their first album was good but this is stylistically much different and a vast improvement. An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal
